One of the last things we want to see sitting on the windshield of our car is a love note from a L.A. parking enforcement officer.  But Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti wants more of those love notes given out to help with the 2014-2015 city budget.

If you haven’t figured it out by now, we’re not talking about actual love notes.  We’re talking about wonderful parking tickets.

With an extra 50 part-time parking enforcement officers issuing parking tickets, they would have brought in a reported extra $3 million for the city.

But, according to LA Weekly, the fine folks on the Los Angeles City Council said no to that idea, due to there being no money for hiring those 50 officers.

So even though there won’t be more parking enforcement officers making their way throughout Los Angeles, still be sure to make sure your tires aren’t in the red next time you park!
