High heels and an ice rink…nothing could possibly go wrong with that pairing, right? Well one woman found out the hard way that walking on ice in heels is never a good idea.
After the Los Angeles Kings won the Stanley Cup championship on Saturday, the team and crew all celebrated on the rink with local news crews capturing it all live. Unfortunately for one LA Kings Ice Crew member, the cameras also caught her embarrassing faceplant while walking on the ice in heels live on TV.
NBC 4’s Mario Solis was reporting live after the game when the young woman not-so-gracefully slipped and fell on the ice right in his shot.
“Never a dull moment with these Kings,” he unknowingly says as she took the tumble.
NBC 4 caught up with the woman, named Hannah Hunsinger, after her embarrassing fall, and was in good spirits despite the gaffe being caught on camera.
“Yes, I am OK,” Hunsinger said. “You’d think that after skating on the ice, I’d be OK with walking on it but that wasn’t the case.”
She even tweeted out a photo post-fall making fun of the fall:
