Ted Nugent Blasts Obama for Releasing ‘Subhuman Mongrel’ in Bergdahl Exchange But Uses Wrong Photo
PolitiFact points out that the rocker posted to his Facebook page last week with a picture of one of the supposed five Taliban leaders that were released from Guantanamo Bay last month in exchange for U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.
The graphic photo (NSFW) featured the man, supposedly Mohammad Fazl, kneeling in front of five severed heads while holding a blade of some sort.
This time around, rather than referring to President Barack Obama as a “subhuman mongrel” as he has in the past, Nugent pinned the name to the man in the photo. “One of the subhuman mongrels our president set free,” he wrote in the Facebook photo caption. “Feel safer yet? Is subhuman mongrel too offensive a term? Have we all lost our minds/souls? Obama is a leader? Of what? God help us all. Wake the hell up America. The enemy is in the Washington DC & they are out of control.”
The problem? Nugent, like many others, fell victim to a bit of a mixup: according to PolitiFact, the man in the photo was not Fazl.
