D’oh! One of the reasons we love The Simpsons is that after twenty-five seasons they a) never grow old, b) never die, and c) are always there for us. The Simpsons are like our own family, but just like in real life, eventually someone has to meet the great Duff-maker in the sky.
Reports are coming in that in the season 26 premiere of The Simpsons, someone in Springfield will pass on. The episode is titled “Clown in the Dumps,” so logically it would be Krusty, but as we all know from binge-watching Game of Thrones, television creators love to mess with our emotions.
According to Refinery 29, producers said it was a character that won an Emmy for “his/her performance in the roll.”
Theories say it will be either Sideshow Bob, Krusty, or Krusty’s father, Rabbi Hyman Krustofski. Hey kids! Don’t cry. As we’ve learned from years of The Simpsons, there’s almost nothing more entertaining than the plight of a sad clown.
