Drop that knife and put down that protein shake!

Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and other groceries that carry certain peanut butter and almond butter products are recalling these nut butters after a recent salmonella scare.

According to an FDA statement, “nSpired Natural Foods, Inc. is voluntarily recalling certain retail lots of Arrowhead Mills® Peanut Butters, MaraNatha® Almond Butters and Peanut Butters and specific private label nut butters (listed below) packaged in glass and plastic jars because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.”

LAist is reporting that four people have already become ill.

Specific brands include Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Safeway, MaraNatha, Kroger, and Arrowhead Mills. Dates vary according to the brand, but Trader Joe’s has removed all nut butters from their stores.

Read the FDA’s official release here and see if your almond butter or peanut butter is included.
