7 Rock Songs For Kiss & Make-Up Day
By Nadia Noir
Today is Kiss and Make Up Day. You know the old story. Someone complains about something incredibly trivial. One of you snaps. The other gets defensive.
Someone cries. Another one of you storms out of the house and says, “I can’t do this.” Then after thirty minutes of seething, the realization that you might lose the person you love the most sinks in. You go to each other sheepishly. And have the best sex ever.
That’s Kiss and Make Up Day and here’s some songs in honor of that. Here’s so always kissing and making up! Especially if you’re fighting with JACK FM.
“Hold Me Now”-The Thompson Twins
We fuss, we fight, but we never go to sleep angry. At least that’s what The Thompson Twins song is suggesting. Which generally means you go to bed at 3am and wake up way too exhausted to function at work.
Relationships have ups and down, but you generally can’t fix someone’s personal problems. “When you’re too in love to let it go, but if you never try, you’ll never know just what you’re worth,” sings Chris Martin. He tried and failed with Gwyneth Paltrow but that might be because they forgot to kiss and make-up before their “conscious uncoupling.”
Clapton wants his woman bad so back he’s willing to do more than just kiss and make-up. He’s beggin’ on his knees.
“Careless Whisper”-George Michael
Honestly, this relationship probably doesn’t work out in the end, but if George Michael canoodling you on the dancefloor to that sexy saxophone doesn’t make you want to kiss and make up, you have no soul.
“I Want You Back”-The Jackson 5
How could you not give the person singing this to you “one more chance?”
“With or Without You”-U2
Can’t live with them, can’t live without them. Oh, love.
“If You Leave Me Now”-Chicago
Sometimes, you just have to remember how many years you invested in the person then charge financially them for all the heartache and emotional distress. Just kidding. Kiss and make-up!
