USC Running Back Quits Team After Calling Head Coach ‘A Racist Man’

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A University of Southern California senior running back quit the football team Thursday after calling head coach Steve Sarkisian a racist on social media.

Anthony Brown allegedly posted a picture on hisInstagram account at 9:30 a.m. stating “COULDN’T PLAY FOR A RACIST MAN!!!!” adding the following as a caption:

“Sark treated like a slave in his office…Can’t play for a racist MAN!!!!!” #Fighton”

The post has since been deleted from his account.

Current and past players took to Twitter to stand up for Sarkisian.
