Do you think you know Nickelback? Guess again.
In “She Keeps Me Up” the band does a wardrobe 180 that will challenge everything you think you know about Nickelback and their sense of humor. No longer dirtbag Canadian rock, the members don suits that are meant to evoke the J. Geils Band but land more like the Dick Clark Five and take the stage in an underground disco club.
In this magical alternate universe, their whole audience is women. Women with the hair of Diana Ross circa “Love Hangover” and the outfits of extras from Austin Powers: Goldmember. Women who are, inexplicably, breathlessly happy to be there.
