Marissa Mayer recently announced she’s pregnant with identical twin girls, but the Yahoo CEO isn’t planning to take off much time to give birth in December.
“I plan to approach the pregnancy and delivery as I did with my son three years ago, taking limited time away and working throughout,” Mayer wrote on Tumblr.
The 40-year-old will take only two weeks of maternity leave if everything goes according to plan, even though she recently revised Yahoo!’s policy to include 16 weeks of paid leave.
Mayer’s decision has stirred up some major controversy over how much time a woman should or shouldn’t take off from work after having a child.
Do you think there is a “correct” amount of time a woman should take off after giving birth?
