Some people dream of living in a state like Colorado, where marijuana is legalized. We here at JACK FM, however, would take Arizona over any other state any day of the week. The reason? In Arizona, weed falls from the sky, man.
At least that what happened to the Donnelly family of Nogales, Arizona early one recent Tuesday morning. Nogales, by the way, lies near the U.S./Mexico border.
While the family was sound asleep, authorities believe that high above them an ultralight aircraft was smuggling drugs into the U.S. when a 23.8 pound package of marijuana fell from the plane and straight into the Donnelly’s garage, smashing through the roof and destroying a dog crate, according to NogalesInternational.com.
Maya Donnelly discovered the bundle later that morning and promptly called the police. Luckily no one was hurt, but the unexpected delivery did cause an estimated $9,500 worth of damage.
Police scoured the area for more signs of weed falling from the sky but alas, no more was found. Heaven was short lived, apparently.
