Cage the Elephant have announced their fourth studio album, Tell Me I’m Pretty, which will be released on December 18th.
The album was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, and recorded at his Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville.
“With this record, we wanted to be more transparent,” said singer Matt Shultz in a prepared statement. “We wanted to capture the sentiment of each song, and whatever emotional response it provoked, to be really honest to that.”
The majority of the songs on the album were recorded in one take in an effort to capture the band’s live energy.
The LP will be the band’s follow up to 2013’s Melophobia, which was nominated for a Grammy for Best Alternative Album.
