Rodger Bumpass, 64, of Burbank was taken into custody about 11 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of South Fairview Street, Burbank police Sgt. Claudio Losacco said.

He was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and released the following morning after posting $15,000 bail. No court date was scheduled.

“Officers were notified about a vehicle stopped in the middle of the street and arrived to find a blue PT Cruiser stopped in the middle of the street and a man leaning against the car,” Losacco said in a statement.

The officers reported that the man walked away as they approached and that he was very unsteady on his feet and nearly fell.
