SANTA FE SPRINGS (CBSLA.com) — All southbound lanes of the 605 Freeway remain closed until further notice due to a fatal crash, California Highway Patrol officers said Tuesday.
The multi-vehicle crash was reported shortly after 4:30 a.m. near Telegraph Road, just north of the 5 Freeway.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
CBS2’s Mark Dunn reported seven other victims were treated for injuries that were sustained in the crash.
Southbound lanes of the freeway are expected to reopen around 8:30 a.m., CBS2’s Stephanie Simmons reported.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
