Fans of Nirvana—and, more specifically, frontman Kurt Cobain—will have their eyes glued to HBO next year.
You might know Dave Grohl as the frontman of the Foo Fighters, but according to the former drummer, he’s just a dad who spends a lot of time shuttling his kids around in a mini-van. And when he’s not busy doing that, he plays a little music.
According to producer Butch Vig, the band’s relentless practice schedule before recording the 1991 classic was a way to stay warm during the brutal Northwestern winter.

“Some beautiful blond, tragic, gorgeous actor boy is hitting on me, and why? He wants to play Kurt. So I am moving that over to the agency side. I am not Cecil B. DeMille or anything like that.”

In an interview, Lana claimed she wishes she was dead, just like Kurt Cobain. His daughter took umbrage with the comment, tweeting yesterday (June 23) that Lana should “embrace life because you only get one.”
