Matt Cameron has been with Soundgarden since their debut EP, 1987′s ‘Screaming Life,’ remaining with them until their breakup in 1997. About a year later, he joined Pearl Jam, and has been with them ever since.

Tomorrow, Soundgarden release King Animal, their first album in sixteen years. Tonight (November 12), you can see them perform some of their new songs, alongside some of their classics, from the stage of the Ed Sullivan Theater, home of The Late Show With David Letterman. The show is the latest installment of the Live on Letterman series, which is shown live from the famous stage in New York City.

Soundgarden’s reunion has been going on for a while: after frontman Chris Cornell tweeted “School’s back in session” on January 1, 2010, the band headlined that summer’s Lollapalooza. In 2011, they toured, and earlier this year, they released a brand new song, “Live To Rise” from the soundtrack to “The Avengers.”
