The almost uncanny resemblance between the rock star and the funnyman is a well documented and long-running joke, with the internet rife with memes and jokes highlighting their lookalike status.
Known to be honest with his fans, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ bassist Flea released a statement addressing the band’s mimed Super Bowl Half-Time Show performance.
