Simmons and Stanley released their statement on the matter over the weekend.

Paul Stanley called into our friends at Los Angeles’ K-EARTH this morning, originally to discuss L.A. KISS, the Arena Football League team that he and bandmate Gene Simmons co-own, but naturally the conversation was dominated by the news of the Rock Hall induction.
The induction ceremony will take place at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on April 10 and will be open to the public. An on-sale date has yet to be announced.
This year, more than 1.3 million votes were cast in the online poll on rockhall.com. A single fan ballot will contain the top five artists and be counted among the roughly 600 other ballots from music industry voters.
The KISS Army is making itself heard, loud and clear.
